About Us

With over 10 years in the business of freelance performing and production, we have recently begun offering booking services to clients who want sophisticated, stylish music for their wedding, party, or corporate event.   Services range from consulting with you to select the perfect music and right musicians for the occasion - including new works commissioned and performed exclusively for you and your guests - to organizing and overseeing all administrative, financial and production details, including 'stage managing' the event.   We work with exceptionally talented and professional musicians across all genres - from classical to jazz to tango to Caribbean to indie rock to DJs - and would be delighted to arrange any of the following soloists and ensembles, or work with you to create your own signature sound for your event:

Our name, Aurelia, is derived from the Latin word Aurum, meaning gold, a substance of lasting value and worth. Our performances include the classics - music that has stood the test of time, as well as new and innovative music that we believe is just as worthy. Gold is also associated with the number phi, which represents the golden ratio, a principle in which the length and width of an object are in perfect balance with each other. Just as we provide music for you that will perfectly complement your wedding, party, or event, our logo contains three golden rectangles - each with lengths in perfect proportion to the widths - overlapped in golden ratio to one another. The large rectangle is an actual photo of gold, and the blue color is the inverted color of the gold photo. Lastly, aurum also refers to the aura, or the golden ring around the sun. An eclipse with an aura, replaces the dot over the letter '"i".
